Head Varsity Coach - Lauren Anderson

Coach Anderson brings a wealth of experience both as an athlete and a coach to her role at Plano Senior. With a background in multiple sports and a collegiate volleyball career, she's well-equipped to lead the team both on and off the court.

 

Her achievements as a player, including various conference recognitions titles such as 2nd team all-conference in the Red River conference, 6 time player of the week, libero of the year in the Sooner Athletic conference, 1st team all-conference in the Sooner Athletic conference, defensive player of the year, 2014 coaches award, and she lead the Sooner Athletic conference with dig's and service aces and also ranked one of NJCAA top 25 for digs per set in the nation. Moreover, her commitment to continuing education, earning both a bachelor's and master's degree in relevant fields, underscores her passion for athletic development and coaching.

 

As a club coach for over a decade, Coach Anderson has honed her coaching abilities and achieved notable successes, including three national bids, two national qualifier first place finishes in the Northeast National Qualifier and runner-up at the SCVA Red Rock Rave. Her dual role also as a certified and licensed athletic trainer, further enhances her ability to support her players' physical well-being and performance.

 

Beyond volleyball, Coach Anderson's interests in adult volleyball leagues, culinary exploration, and travel showcase her vibrant personality and diverse interests. Her dedication to her family, including her furry friends, underscores her values of connection and community.

 

Overall, Coach Anderson's blend of experience, expertise, and personal passion make her an  asset to the Plano Senior volleyball program. Her leadership is sure to inspire her players both on and off the court.

  

Assistant Varsity Coach - Katie Ammerman

Coach Ammerman brings a dynamic blend of experience and passion to her role as the Varsity Assistant coach for Plano, alongside her duties teaching Special Education and World Geography Resource at Clark High School.

 

Hailing from West Texas, Coach Ammerman began her coaching journey in the Amarillo area, where she coached both volleyball and served as Head Softball coach. Her background as a multi-sport athlete in high school, excelling in both volleyball and softball, laid the foundation for her coaching career.

 

During her own high school career, Coach Ammerman amassed numerous all-district and all-state awards, culminating in her senior year where she led her volleyball team as captain to the pinnacle of success, earning the top spot in the Texas State volleyball rankings for class 4A. This achievement marked a historic moment for her school, holding the first-place position for over six weeks.

 

Continuing her athletic pursuits, Coach Ammerman played collegiate volleyball, initially at Clarendon JC before transferring to Oklahoma Wesleyan University on both athletic and academic scholarships. She later completed her education degree at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas.

 

Coach Ammerman's dedication to both teaching and coaching, coupled with her extensive athletic background and success, makes her a valuable asset to the Plano volleyball program. Her leadership and commitment to excellence will undoubtedly inspire and guide the team to new heights.

  

JV Head Coach - Samantha Graver

Coach Graver brings a competitive playing background and a heart for mentorship to the Plano Senior High School Volleyball program. As a former NCAA Division I student-athlete, she competed in the Atlantic 10 Conference at La Salle University and the Big Ten Conference at Rutgers University, earning several conference and academic honors throughout her collegiate career.

 

At La Salle, Graver was named to the Atlantic 10 First-Team All-Conference and All-Academic Team in 2019 after leading the team in kills and points. After 4 years, she closed her career at La Salle with over 1,000 career digs and points, while off the court earning her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Special Education, and American Studies.

 

She finished her collegiate career at Rutgers University, competing in the Big Ten Conference as a defensive specialist, where she contributed 113 digs in 85 sets and posted a .927 serve receive percentage. Graver graduated in the Spring of 2023 with her Master’s degree in School Counseling, further supporting her passion for mentorship and student development.

 

Before college, Graver played at Parkland High School (PA), where she was part of a team that won two PIAA State Championships and three District XI titles. Along the way, she set Parkland’s single season kill record with 617 her senior year. She was honored with several recognitions including Pennsylvania Gatorade Player of the Year, District 11 MVP, Eastern Pennsylvania Conference MVP, PIAA First Team All-State, LehighValleyLive.com Player of the Year and Morning Call Player of the Year.

 

Coach Graver brings a deep passion for developing athletes on and off the court to the Plano Senior Volleyball Program. Her coaching is rooted in faith, zeal, and a commitment to helping players grow into strong teammates and humble individuals. She believes in using volleyball as a tool to shape character, instill discipline, and encourage athletes to walk confidently in who they are becoming.

  

 

JV Assistant Coach - Ashlie Sims

Coach Sims brings a unique blend of educational dedication and athletic experience to the PISD community. As a Special Education teacher in the Connect Program, she is committed to supporting students' growth both academically and personally, fostering an inclusive and empowering environment for all learners.
 
With a solid background in athletics, Coach Sims has coached middle school soccer and understands firsthand the value of teamwork, perseverance, and discipline. A multi-sport athlete herself, she competed at the collegiate level as a Division III basketball player, bringing a wealth of knowledge and competitive experience to her coaching role.
 
Coach Sims is passionate about mentoring young athletes and helping them grow on and off the field. She emphasizes the importance of being a good teammate and developing into a well-rounded athlete—skills that serve students both in sports and in life. Her diverse athletic background allows her to connect with students across different sports, encouraging them to build confidence, resilience, and mutual respect.
 
Outside the classroom, Coach Sims is dedicated to exercise science, strength training, and athletic conditioning. She emphasizes the importance of physical fitness and overall well-being, and she works to instill those same values in her student-athletes through focused training and consistent support. Coach Sims is excited to join the volleyball program at Plano Senior High, where she looks forward to contributing her commitment to student growth both on and off the court.
 

9th Head Coach (A Team)- Tyler Carone

Coach Carone brings a strong defensive mindset, high energy, and a deep commitment to teaching fundamentals. As a Physical Education teacher, she is equally dedicated to fostering a healthy environment, both physically and mentally, for every athlete she works with.
 
Her playing career began early and accelerated quickly. She earned a spot on her high school’s varsity team as a sophomore, starting as a serving specialist before becoming the team’s Libero. That journey instilled in her a core belief: it’s not about where you start, but how hard you’re willing to work to get where you want to be.
 
Coach Carone began her coaching career in 2021, leading a 15U team and later coaching 12U. After relocating back to Dallas in 2023, she continued her work with 12U athletes while also assisting with 14U and 13U teams. These experiences have allowed her to build a broad understanding of athlete development across multiple age levels, with a focus on confidence, consistency, and team dynamics.
 
In addition to coaching, she remains an active competitor in both indoor and beach volleyball leagues, which keeps her skills sharp and her knowledge of the evolving game current.
 
Coach Carone is thrilled to be joining the program and looks forward to contributing to a competitive, disciplined, and growth-focused season.
 
 

 9th Assistant Coach (B Team) - Brittany Callahan-Willis

My name is Brittany Callahan-Willis, and this is my first year in Plano ISD. I will be starting my 20th year in High School Athletics, and I am excited to see all the great things that Plano has to offer.
I played goalkeeper at the Division 1 level at The University of North Texas and concluded my playing career at The University of Texas at Dallas.
 
I have received numerous awards and accolades in athletics over my playing and coaching career, but what I am MOST proud of is the WONDERFUL family I have been blessed with.
 
I have an AMAZING husband, Hank, and 2 BEAUTUFUL daughters, Berkley and Boston. We also have 3 fur babies, Fitz, Kennedy, and Ellie Mae.

 

Athletic Trainer - Jacque Foley, ATC, LAT

 Coach Foley grew up in Houston playing volleyball and soccer. She then earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sports Science from Texas Tech University and a Master’s in Athletic Training from TTU Health Science Center. She is entering her 15th year as a Certified Athletic Trainer and her 14th year as a Plano Wildcat.

 

Jacque and her husband, Chris, live in Murphy with their daughters Madelynn (10) and Nora (7). She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and anything that entertains the kids.
